My 35 cent Wal-Mart Trip!

I got to brag about this one!

Last night my husband and I walked out of our local store with a bag containing 6 items that we only paid 35 cents for! It was a wonderful feeling and a great shopping trip. The other customers

Here is what we bought and here is how we got it!

Items Purchased:

·         2 Scotch Magic Tape – They are normally priced $1.22
We used 2 $1 any Scotch tape item we found in an old Sunday paper but if you don’t have that coupon, you can use the free printable coupons from HERE
                Total:  44 cents

·         Then we used the coupons we had sent to us for FREE from Kraft First Taste. Kraft sent us coupons in the mail for one free four pack of Breakstone 100 calorie cottage cheese (cost of item was $2.68) one free double pack of Breakstone cottage cheese (cost of item was 88 cents) and 1.00 when you buy 2 double packets.  The 2 double packets ended up being .76 total.

Our total with coupons was $7.76. Once you take off the value of the coupons, this should have been a total of 1.22 for all of the items.

Here’s where we got lucky! One of the items did not scan correctly. Walmart has a policy where if an item does not scan properly and it is their fault, you get the item for free if it is under $5.00 So we got one our tapes for free and all we had to pay was the sales tax. I’m not sure how we had to pay any sales tax since our whole bag should have been free, but hey, I was quite happy to be walking out of Wal-Mart with a bag of items for 35 cents, so I didn’t argue!

As we walked out into the parking lot, I looked at my husband and I said to him HOW COOL WAS THAT!?!!?!

I was in a very gleeful mood all the way home. After all, getting something for nothing is darn fun.
Now you will have to excuse me, I have to go tape my receipt to the kitchen refrigerator with a big gold star sticker!

Coming up soon: My trip to Walgreens and how I got over 17 dollars worth of items for under 5 bucks!  No scanning errors this time. Not to shabby, eh?
